Ministries

The Wailing Wall Ministry has been receiving prayer requests from all over the world since 2005.

The Wailing Wall (a non-Jewish term) or Kotel HaMaaravi, (Western Wall) is the remains of the great Jewish temple, which had stood for close to 500 years. Herod began rebuilding and adding on to the temple in approximately 19 B.C., and the total work was not finished until fifty years later. The temple itself was destroyed by the Romans only a few years after its completion, circa 70 A.D.

To the Jewish people it is the most sacred of places, because the temple itself was the place where God resides on earth. Praying at the Wailing Wall signifies being in the presence of God. People from all over the world come to pray at the wall, where it is said one immediately has the “ear of God.” Those who cannot pray at the wall can send prayers or ask for the Kaddish (a Jewish prayer which honors the glory of God) to be spoken over the requests.  Prayers can also be sent in electronically and then are placed into the cracks of the walls and are called tzetzels.

IHOP:EG has established a ministry based on the sacredness and attitudes of those that pray and believe at the Wall in Jerusalem. Every prayer request is prayed for by those in the prayer room and then each one is followed up by a team of intercessors to reassure that they have been covered in prayer and if there is any victory to report.  In addition every missionary that comes through the Prayer Room are added to the Wailing Wall and are covered with prayer daily.

If you would like to submit a prayer request for the Wailing Wall Ministry please fill out the prayer request form to the right of the page.
